Pickup up from here for the first time tonight. Ordered online. The pizza was really great and flavorful. I got a 10” pepperoni with SPICY marinara sauce; that spicy marinara sauce was what makes this place stand out. I can’t ever get this type of sauce on a custom pizza anywhere else, and it’s my favorite type of sauce. It was great

We decided to try this place since I drive past it often. We ordered a 10” Larry Bird Dog pizza, an Italian sub and 12 traditional dry rub wings. The total was ~$44 and not worth it at all. The pizza was a little salty and not very tasty. The wings were NOT crispy and didn’t look fully cooked. We put them in the air fryer to crisp them up. I now see why a previous review mentioned they looked like they came out the air fryer. The Italian sub was ok. Thankfully we have so many good choices for this type of food because we won’t be returning.

Interested in Columbus Style and New York Style pizzas? Well no need to pick between the two as they offer both styles plus a lot of other menu items! I was invited to their soft opening on Tuesday and think they will make a great addition to the pizza scene in Dublin! Definitely recommend checking them out if in the area. Tried their speciality Corsican New York Style pizza (without mushrooms), custom made toppings to a Columbus Style (pro-pineapple in this house), and garlic knots. Everything was delicious and not overly greasy which was nice to see. Pizzas had a parmesan, pepper, oregano seasoning on them which was quite tasty and made the crust taste like a breadstick! Our favorite was the New York style pizza, the Corsican which was such a unique Za. The roasted garlic shallot purée on the base complemented the ingredients so well and satiated my garlic and onion loving ways without being too overpowering. The ingredient medley was a perfect balance of flavors and the crust had a nice crunch. It can definitely be folded like NY style pizza too. I’m sure it would be great with the mushrooms left on but we are not mushroom fans. It is based off one of the co-owner Jessica’s favorite pizza… she likes it with extra anchovies and mushrooms but left anchovies off given that most are not a fan. We had a lot of leftovers to keep us good for days. We are excited to return again soon to try their other menu items and speciality pizzas (most are punny names with dog references)! I tried Black Dog recently, and I have been meaning to go back. I had a Columbus style specialty pizza, and the flavors were on point. Honestly I was taken aback how excellent the ingredients tasted. The only tiny issue with the pizza was that it was a bit soggy in the middle. I prefer it to be crisp throughout. Maybe it was the burrata. I wasn't crazy about their ranch, and I feel it could be improved upon. It's still 5 stars to me, but as of right now I'll have to pick up ranch separately which will keep me from going there as often as I'd like. Everyone has different opinions on what makes a good ranch though. I prefer one made with buttermilk, fresh dill, fresh garlic, peppercorn, and other fresh spices, etc., with a decent sized ramekin for dipping, but most places that make it fresh still use the hidden valley packets which I'm not a fan of. I'm not sure if that's the case here, but regardless they make amazing pizza, and I'll be back. Plus I appreciate the owners putting themselves out there online, being accessible, and open to feedback.

First time trying Black Dog, and we thought it was delicious. First, I love a salad with my pizza, and theirs is one of the best I've ever had. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, not brown like many other restaurants. The toppings on the salad were perfect. Plus, their ranch dressing is homemade and really good. It's a thin ranch which I appreciate when it comes to mixing it into the salad. Then we tried the Columbus style pizza. Nice thin crust, really tasty toppings. I loved the flavor of the sauce. Luckily, it is not a sweet sauce. The pepperoni is plentiful, slightly spicy, and yummy. Most of all, our dog really appreciated the PUPperoni cup. What a nice menu choice! One more nice thing is the online ordering. They texted with a projected time and then quickly followed with another text saying they were extra busy and adjusted the time. I appreciate the communication so I was not there just waiting around.
